Focus and Scope

The journal publishes essays on theoretical and practical topics concerning the scientific-disciplinary area of ​​graphic representation: theory of representation, geometry, history of representation history, visual communication, graphic semiology, infographics, graphics, modeling, project design, architectural and urban survey, cartography, innovation, experimentation, applied research, teaching of the disciplines of the cultural area.

Quality and Transparency of the Editorial Process

diségno accepts proposals for scientific contributions. Contributions have to focus on issues of concern to the journal. The authors who wish to propose a contribution and start a submission with double blind peer review, must register on the journal system.

SUBMISSION ABSTRACT: The Director, Editor in Chief, in collaboration with the Editorial Team check the proposals to assess coherence and suitability to the journal issue, and accept or decline abstract. Selected authors will be asked to send the full text of the contribution to start the process of double blind peer review.

DOUBLE BLIND PEER REVIEW PROCESS: The full text are subjected to a Double Blind peer review process and valued by two or more reviewer, with the aim of reaching a collective decision on the publication or underline the appropriate changes to the contribution. Peer reviewers evaluate the scientific and thematic coherence of the proposed contribution, interest in the subject matter and the quality of the paper. 

Editorials, Covers, Images, Rubrics, Reading/re-readings, Reviews, Events, are not subjected to a Double Peer Review but are reviewed by the Editorial Team.

Authors must submit contributions that have not been published previously in other journals, nor in any other form of communication. diségno consider articles published elsewhere as long as the authors assume full responsibility for the copyright terms, relieving diségno any burden on it.

Publication Frequency

The journal is published twice a year, in June and December. 

Section policies

All sections are open submissions and peer reviewed with the exception of sections Editorial, Image, Cover, Events, Reading/Rereradings, Reviews and The UID Library.

Open Access Policy

diségno provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

The journal allow readers to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of its articles and allow readers to use them for any other lawful purpose.

The journal allow the author(s) to hold the copyright without restrictions

Privacy Policy

Personal data on diségno server are uploaded by the user when he/she subscrive on the journal system. Personal data are private and they are not transferred to third parties. Personal data are not processed.
 The only personal data required to register on the systema are: name, surname, email. The personal data of the users are stored on the server until the magazine  works. At any time the user can update / modify his/her personal data. The user can request the cancellation of his/her personal data at any time. The frequency for receiving emails from diségno is no preselected.

The authors of accepted papers accept to publish the contents according the "Open Access Policy".

 The journal have not article processing and submission charges.
