Abstract

Drawing, which fundamentally underpins all forms of graphic representation, is one of the oldest modes of expression, with the earliest recorded marks dating back approximately 30,000 years [Massironi 2002]. As a means of expression and communication, it predates and serves as a precursor to written language. It is also one of the most versatile and virtually universal expressive media, capable of transcending linguistic barriers. (read more)
